Class Actions
Question? Click here to tell us more about your situtaion and we will contact you with full details on how we can help.

Class action lawsuits are legal proceedings that allow one person, or a small number of individuals, to bring a claim on behalf of hundreds or thousands of other persons in a similar situation with similar complaints against the same entity. These proceedings serve as a significant tool against powerful corporations and industries.

The strength of a class action lawsuit places the person with a claim (Plaintiff) on level with influential corporate entities (Defendant). There are certain requirements that must be met in order to proceed with a class action lawsuit.

If you, a family member or a friend have a class action suit, call the Davis Law Office and our competent lawyers can assist you with your class action claims.

Wills & Testaments
Question? Click here to tell us more about your situtaion and we will contact you with full details on how we can help.

A will is the legal disposition or transfer of the testator’s (deceased) person’s property according to the will and intent of the testator’s (deceased) person that is reduced to and expressed in writing. The will takes effect upon the death of the testator.

Do you need a will? Maybe and maybe not. If you are a mother or father or husband and wife and have children and want your property to be inherited equally by your children, you do not need a will. If on the other hand, you want to give more to one child than the other or you want to give some of your property to someone other than your children or make a donation to your school, church or some other organization, you will need a will to do so.

We at The Davis Law Office believe that experience does count. We have over thirty years of Succession, Will and Probate experience. Worker’s Compensation
Question? Click here to tell us more about your situtaion and we will contact you with full details on how we can help.

Louisiana law provides that most employers are required to provide their employees with Worker’s Compensation insurance, in order to protect and insure them for on the job accidental injuries. If you, a family member or a friend have been accidentally injured on the job during the course and scope of your employment, you are entitled to worker’s compensation coverage.

In most cases, this entitles the injured worker to:

  1. weekly indemnity benefits for as long as he or she is disabled and unable to work as certified by medical evidence
  2. medical coverage for all medical treatment, drugs and prescription
  3. an award of penalty, interest and attorney’s fees if the employer arbitrarily and capriciously denies his or her claim, denies medical coverage, fails to pay indemnity benefits
  4. the choice of his or her own physician under certain circumstances

The Davis Law Office believes that experience does count. We have over thirty years of Worker’s Compensation trial experience.
